Two more leaks to salivate over: First, a new one: K and C’s Gourmet Stuff … had a serendipitous cooking class by the owner Craig this weekend, and it was fabulous! Can’t wait to try his sauces and caramelized onions.

Next, Chinook Honey is back! Not only making tons of amazing honey and honey products, they also make some of Alberta’s best mead!

Leak of the Week #4: If you’ve had the opportunity to hit our community-famous beer gardens, you’ve no doubt sampled Birds and Bees (formerly En Sante) Wines… Fruit wines produced here in Alberta from organic berries.

Also, new this year, Brenda’s Best Organics personal care products, made right here in Calgary. An organic alternative to deodorant, makeup and cosmetics!

Leak of the week #3: Thompson Small Farms … famous for:

1) being one of our favourite buskers

2) The only vendor to bring a live chicken to sell at one of our markets

3) The only farmer to produce with a solar powered tractor (aka a horse).

Ok, a couple of new vendors now. Eagle Creek Farms is vegetable and flower garden operation from up around Bowden… Farmer John has been known to frequent our beer garden, it’ll be good to have him around every week now.
And Country Thyme Farms, another Bowden operation, will be here with organic grains, poultry, and herbs!

The Farmers’ Market opening day is around the corner! We have many of our amazing vendors back again this year and some new ones to check out. Our Opening Market will feature live music by Mark Sadler-Brown and we will have our beer gardens too!

This year the market is from 3-7pm every Wednesday. Stay tuned for more updates!
