“Memories, like the corners of my mind, misty water-coloured memories …”
No, we’re not introducing karaoke to the Farmers’ Market (though, that would be interesting) – I’ve just been talking to a number of neighbours about the upcoming market season, and I’ve been hearing stuff like, “oh, my kids always dragged me there to get their Wednesday balloon!”, or “remember the time Kris Demeanor played at the market?” So I am sure there are lots of great stories out there.
I remember just last year my then-four year old went to get her balloon at the HSCA table, and she was very paranoid about losing it, so they tied it extra carefully around her wrist. Would you know it, though, the moment we stepped away from the booth, the balloon popped off – at the other end – and off it flew, leaving my little one with a long dangly string attached to her arm! (Yes, they immediately replaced that balloon 
)
