Our Vendors

Our focus is on local vendors of fresh, high quality goods.  We are proud to work with a fine group of vendors.

2011 Vendors:

We revealed some of our vendors as Leak of the Week this season. We hope to profile some of our other fabulous vendors throughout market season – stay tuned!

April 25: Yep, they’re back, with their fabulous honey, honey based products, and even some fantastic mead. Chinook Honey, based out of Okotoks, bless our market with the sticky stuff. Four more weeks to go!

April 19: Alright, on with the new. Winter’s Turkeys will be joining us this summer, with a variety of sausages, cold cuts, frozen meats, and then, as we approach Thanksgiving, some kickass turkeys. Glad to have you on the team!

April 11: We are thrilled to announce to the return of John and Thompson Small Farm. This guy takes organic farming to a new level… his organic farm is even powered by a solar powered tractor (aka a horse). Producing amazing eggs, greens, vegetables, and even a live chicken or two, John will be sure to sell out week after week.

April 4: So, that time of the week again. This time let’s hear it for Noble Gardens, a CSA and fabulous vendor at our market for a second year. Serving a variety of vegetables, eggs, and exsquisite strawberries, he is an essential hit each week. It’ll be great to have him back!

March 28: It’s damned cold out. Which makes me want to tell you about Red Neck Goat Ranch, soon to be a new market vendor. Made here in Calgary, an exciting array of classic and stylish hand knit clothing made from a combination of natural and man made fibres. Yarns; hand spun and machine spun, hand dyed and natural colours from alpaca, mohair, llama and wool. I’m warmer already.

March 21: So far our leaks have been for vendor returnees… how ’bout a new one to titillate you? There was a definite lack of caffeinated products last year… To rectify this we bring you Mountain View Coffee, a microroasterie from right here in Calgary. Fair Trade Certified, Rainforest Alliance Certified, and Bullfrog powered, this is the most guiltless (and flavourful) cup you can drink from. Can’t wait!

March 14: We’re excited to have back for another go-round: My Spanish Kitchen! Mariana produces amazing vegetarian and beef empanadas, real lemonade, and a whole host of other great prepared foods. Throw in her smiles and enthusiasm, and she’ll have you back at her booth weekly for more good food.

March 9: This week’s leak… Highwood Valley Ranch is back for another year! Fabulous organic beef, a great variety of cuts. Soon to be a staple in your kitchen. Check out their website.

March 1: Michelle’s Markets, based out of Brooks, AB is a primary producer of all good vegetable things: carrots, scrumptious peas, beets, corn, and even a melon or two. We’re happy to have ‘em back for a second year…
